Report to: Managing Director, Greater China
The Deputy General Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to improve the client services & communication, streamline operational procedures and assist with business development. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing 1-2 key account(s) and working with the team on the market strategy, planning and execution of core activities. We are looking for ambitious candidates with strong experience in travel trade, PR, sales and marketing, and used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Position will be based in and requires frequent domestic & international travelGuangzhou.
☑Oversee key clients and work closely with the account teams to improve the level of client services and communication.
☑Train and lead team members to successfully implement marketing programs and develop new strategic alliances on behalf of our client.
☑Act as the key client key contact for in-country operations and activities including other third-party contractors and agencies.
☑Monitor important on all marketing activities and promotions including management of trade Programs (Sales missions, Trainings, Sales Calls, FAMs, Trade Shows), media outreach and government relations.
☑Liaise with travel trade operators, wholesalers, travel agents, and airlines, as well as in-state industry partners on various travel trade cooperative programs and promotional opportunities.
☑Develop and implement China (Guangzhou & South China) travel trade strategies for the assigned client(s).
☑Implement travel trade activities for the account(s) and ensure maximum ROI.
☑Implement marketing plans.
☑Manage and measure co-op promotions with travel trade partners within approved budgets.
☑Displaying a complete understanding of the client’s marketing plan in Guangzhou & South Chia as their main contact in China.
☑ Maintain good relationships with client, partners, travel trade, media and government.
☑Manage every aspect of destination’s China marketing programs within annual budget.
☑Finish all daily operational work by deadline, such as submitting reports,presentations, newsletters, etc.
☑Manage and coordinate business development activities
☑Develop proposals, marketing strategy and promotional plans
☑Attend trade shows and conferences to source new business opportunities
☑Upsell new services to existing client base
☑Minimum experience of 8 years in the travel industry or related fields.
☑Have network with local key travel trade, airlines, media and government.
☑Native Chinese speaker with excellent English proficiency .
☑Have strong experience and solid network in the travel industry.
☑Excellent presentation and communication skills, outgoing and proactive.
☑Ability to build strong relationships with senior and government stakeholders.
☑Strong understanding of the local trade and excellent industry network.
☑Previous experience at a leadership level, ability to manage and grow teams.
☑Highly motivated, able to multi-task and work independently under deadline.
